A train that was supposed to take MEPs and officials to their residence in Strasbourg accidentally took a wrong turn and ended up in Disneyland. This was reported by Politico.
The journalists explain that the European Parliament orders monthly rides for its members to travel between its two residences in Brussels and Strasbourg.
After departing from Brussels’ Midi station, the train with European officials headed to the Marne-la-Valle-Cassis station, where Disneyland is located, and was delayed there for 45 minutes, the newspaper writes.
One of the officials said that he saw part of the Space Mountain roller coaster during the stop.
“Unfortunately, we could not leave,” he said.
An aide to one of the MEPs added that “almost everyone was laughing at the insanity of the situation.”
Another complained that there were “no free attractions on the train.”
