The court canceled the seizure of part of Kyivstar and lifecell shares due to a “typo in the decision”

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has changed its decision to arrest shares of Kyivstar and lifecell mobile operators. Now it does not apply to all corporate rights of these two companies, but only to the shares controlled by Russian oligarchs.

This was reported in the court register.

On October 4, the court, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, seized corporate rights in the form of:

→ 100% of the authorized capital of Lifecell LLC owned by Lifecell Ventures Cooperatief U.A., a company registered in the Netherlands;
→ 99.99% of the authorized capital of PrJSC “Kyivstar” in the form of shares owned by Veon Holdings B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands.

A few days later, the Prosecutor General’s Office appealed to the court again, claiming a typo in the decision.

It turned out that it was only necessary to seize 19.8% of the authorized capital of lifecell and 47.85% of the authorized capital of Kyivstar, i.e. the shares owned by structures related to LetterOne. It is an investment holding company founded by Russian Mikhail Fridman and his partners.

The court granted the prosecutor’s request and corrected the mistake.

In other respects, the court decision remained unchanged.
