A historic moment. Biden becomes the first US president to join a labor strike (photo)

On Tuesday, September 26, President Joe Biden joined auto workers in Detroit during a strike.

US President Joe Biden joined a protest organized by representatives of the UAW (United Auto Workers) at a General Motors parts warehouse, one of several facilities where a strike has been going on for almost two weeks.

Biden put on a union baseball cap and used a loudspeaker to urge the strikers not to give up. The President urged workers to continue their struggle for higher wages as profits of automobile companies are growing.

Joe Biden became the first US president in history to join a labor strike.
