A huge “mushroom” from the explosion: Ukrainian FPV drone effectively hit Russian “Solntsepek” near Avdiivka (video)

In the area of Avdiivka, soldiers of the 59th separate infantry brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk destroyed a heavy flamethrower system “Solntsepek” with an FPV drone.

The video was posted by blogger and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko.

According to him, the strike destroyed a system worth $15 million or more, along with the crew.

The recording shows the vehicle being hit by an FPV drone and the detonation of thermobaric shells with a huge “mushroom”.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the destruction of two TOS-1A “Solntsepek” on the evening of October 19.

Since October 10, Russians have been fiercely storming Avdiivka, trying to surround the city. The military noted that this was the largest offensive on the city in the entire period of the full-scale invasion.

TOS-1A “Solntsepek” is a legend of Russian propaganda. It fires thermobaric ammunition, with 24 shells in a salvo, which can cover an area of 200×200 meters. The Ukrainian military also has several such systems in service, acquired during the battles against the Russians.
