A new SHARK drone was created in Ukraine
The Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems has created a new SHARK UAS unmanned aerial vehicle designed for reconnaissance and fire correction.
The drone has compact dimensions – the wingspan is a little less than two meters. It was created specifically to penetrate into temporarily enemy-controlled territory in order to carry out reconnaissance, observation and adjustment of fire on enemy targets there. Including it can be used for more accurate guidance of missiles from HIMARS complexes.
SHARK is equipped with a camera with 30x optical zoom and additional digital zoom. It has a reliable encrypted communication and can fly to the rear of the enemy up to 60 km away. The drone can monitor objects at a distance of up to five kilometers. Its cruising speed is 70-90 km/h, and the maximum speed is up to 150 km/h.
According to the developers, they started working on the creation of SHARK already after the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. And in less than half a year, the drone was already flying. Now it is fully ready for use in combat conditions. At the same time, it is a completely Ukrainian development – from idea to production.
It will be recalled that the star of ‘Star Wars’ Mark Hamill helped purchase 500 drones for Ukraine. The actor managed to collect funds for drones as part of the United24 initiative, where he is an ambassador.
