A rather rare VRAC armored vehicle, of which there are only three in the world, was spotted in Ukraine

Ukraine Weapons Tracker published a photo of a VRAC rescue armored vehicle on its X-account. It is worth noting that it is very rare. A total of three such armored vehicles were assembled. It is unknown how an armored vehicle manufactured in Spain ended up in Ukraine.

The Pegaso BMR 6×6 armored personnel carrier was used as the basis for the development of the VRAC. Initially, all three pieces were painted white. The armored vehicle in the photo is repainted in green. This may indicate that it is being used for military purposes.

Apparently, the Spanish government included the armored vehicle in one of its defense packages. Nothing was officially reported about this. It is possible that VRAC was acquired by a private benefactor for the purpose of further transferring it to the Armed Forces.

Pegaso armored personnel carriers have been produced in Spain since 1979. They were assembled at Enasa’s production facilities. They were used in international operations in countries such as Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Lebanon.
