A rehabilitation area for people with leg injuries and amputations was set up in Kyiv. This is a pilot project, Kyivzelenbud writes.

It is located in the park near the building of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 4 at 4, vul. 17 Solomianska Street. This hospital treats and rehabilitates many military personnel and people who suffered as a result of the war.

“Rehabilitation of people with leg injuries and amputations is a very complex and long process, both psychological and physiological. After all, you have to learn to walk again, feel the surface, the difference between different surfaces, such as asphalt, paving stones, grating, understand the slightest height differences – all the things that you may not have even paid attention to before become noticeable,” the statement said.

Therefore, in the park with an area of 192 square meters. m created a “training” area from the types of pavement most commonly used in settlements.

It combines different types of PV modules in terms of texture, size, and layout. In particular, they added areas with a parking grid, a flagpole, attention and movement patterns, and a small wooden bridge, as well as installed benches and trash cans.

According to Oleksiy Korol, CEO of Kyivzelenbud, this is a new experience not only for Kyiv but also for Ukraine. There are similar facilities in other European countries. However, they are focused on civilians.
