A terminal is not needed: Visa has launched a service for accepting payments via Telegram in Ukraine

Fintech startup “Online Kasa” and Visa have launched a service that allows you to use a smartphone as a platform for accepting contactless card payments.

This was reported by Forbes with reference to Visa’s press release.

The new tool will be useful for micro and small businesses (beauty salons, service stations, convenience stores, etc.) that previously accepted cash, but want to expand their capabilities.

The developers emphasize that the service should be used by those entrepreneurs who are just planning to open their own business and have a small starting capital.

The service integrates accepting payments through a smartphone into the messenger. You can accept non-cash payments and keep track of goods through a special Telegram chatbot.

In order to start using the service, you need to accept the terms of the public offer in the chatbot and go through the registration procedure using the EDS KEY for the FOP.

Also, in Telegram, it is now possible to register PPO in the tax office and conduct full-fledged accounting: account for goods and track balances, connect fiscalization, generate checks for purchases or payment of services, as well as perform official deposits and withdrawals, automatically generate a Z-report.

“It has never been so easy to accept payments: it is enough to take a smartphone and open the messenger,” said Oleksandr Stelmakh, Visa’s senior director of digital solutions in Ukraine, Georgia, the CIS countries and Southeast Europe.

The service will work on the basis of Visa Tap to Phone technology, which allows smartphones with Android OS and an NFC chip to serve as a platform for accepting contactless card payments, similar to conventional POS payment terminals.

It has the same reliable security protocols as standard POS systems and is built on the basis of the international EMV chip card payment standard, which generates a unique cryptogram for each transaction.

We will remind you that Highload previously wrote about the fact that a payment card for cryptocurrency payments appeared in Ukraine.
