A Ukrainian psychological thriller will soon appear on Netflix: what is it about?
On January 3, 2024, the psychological thriller Between Us by Ukrainian director Solomiya Tomashchuk will be released on Netflix. The film stars Ukrainian actresses Irma Vitovska and Anastasia Pustovit.
Netflix Ukraine posted the relevant post on Instagram;
It is known that the film was created by UP UA STUDIO with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency. It was only recently released in Ukraine on November 2 this year.
The film tells about the choice the characters have to make between their loved ones and morality. The plot revolves around an abusive relationship between two women. The girl Sasha, played by Anastasia Pustovit, with a traumatic past and chaotic love affairs, and the doctor Anya, played by Irma Vitovska. The heroines cross paths and become hostages of an accidental murder that radically changes their lives.
The film raises a number of acute social issues: family violence, drug addiction, the position of women in society and PTSD.
