A US colonel doubted the ability of Iranian drones to destroy HIMARS

The military arsenal of the russian occupying forces was replenished with Iranian drones. Russians have high hopes for them. They expect that the aircraft supplied by Tehran will help them destroy the HIMARS missile systems.

According to retired US Marine Corps Colonel Mark Kanchin, expressed by him during an interview with a Newsweek correspondent, the Russians will not be able to destroy missile complexes with the help of Iranian drones. The military emphasized that the operation of UAVs is not possible without long-term training of operators. Even if the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation learn how to control copters delicately, they will not be able to hit mobile complexes without high-precision projectiles.

Kanchin suggests that the Russians will try to destroy HIMARS with unguided missiles. It will be very problematic to do this, since the complexes are constantly moving. There is a high probability that the UAV will be used by the occupiers to adjust fire and strike Ukrainian military positions.
