A denture jaw of former Prime Minister Winston Churchill, which he used during his famous speech “We will fight on the beaches” delivered during World War II, will be auctioned in the UK.

“Churchill’s false teeth are probably among the most unusual items we have ever sold,” said Liz Poole, chairman of The Cotswold Auction Company.
Media reports say that Churchill lost several teeth in the 1920s. During the Second World War, the then British Prime Minister had more than one denture. They were specially made to preserve the politician’s natural lisp. They made prostheses of gold.
According to his private dentist, Derek Cudlip, Churchill had bad teeth and bite since childhood, so he needed special care. Later, Churchill nominated his dentist for a knighthood.
