American teenager becomes the first person in history to complete Tetris (video)
13-year-old American Willis Gibson (blue scuti) has beaten the classic computer game Tetris with the help of a critical glitch, which was previously only possible for artificial intelligence.
“Tetris was developed by a Soviet software engineer. It is a simple puzzle game in which players must rotate and stack falling blocks of different shapes to form solid lines on the playing field.
As you progress, the puzzles start to fall faster. For a long time, it was believed that level 29 was the end point, because everything was moving too fast for a person to react.
Gamers have found a way to extend the Tetris game
But in recent years, players have found a way to continue the game. Gamers knew that there was a point at which the code crashed and the game stopped, but only another computer could reach it.
On December 21, Gibson reached the 157th level. He dropped a puzzle piece into place, causing one line of blocks to disappear and the game to freeze.
Other players congratulated Gibson on his achievement. Tetris CEO Maya Rogers said that this is a worthy achievement on the eve of the game’s 40th anniversary in 2024.
“Congratulations to blue scuti for this extraordinary achievement, a feat that challenges all preconceived limitations of this legendary game,” said
