The United States first tested the M-SHORAD air defense system with the FIM-92 Stinger launcher and AGM-114L Longbow Hellfire missiles

The United States conducted the first active testing of the new M-SHORAD air defense system.

The system was tested during an exercise in the mountains of Slovakia. The system is based on the Stryker infantry fighting vehicle. It boasts an FIM-92 Stinger launcher, as on the Avenger, and two AGM-114L Longbow Hellfire missiles. They enable M-SHORAD to engage ground and air targets, including UAVs and helicopters.
