The Wuling HongGuang Mini EV convertible will be the top version of the electric model, but will remain inexpensive. The electric car received a more powerful engine and a battery of increased capacity.
The Wuling HongGuang Mini EV compact electric car has received a new non-standard version. A stylish convertible is coming into production. This is reported by the official website of General Motors.
The Wuling HongGuang Mini EV convertible in the status of a concept car debuted in the spring of 2021 at the Shanghai Auto Show. Now the General Motors concern (it is the owner of Wuling) has decided to start production of the model.
The new Wuling Mini EV Cabrio retains the familiar clunky design. It became a two-seater, because instead of the rear seats, they equipped a niche where the soft roof hides. Arcs have appeared behind the front seats, which save during a rollover.
The miniature two-seater electric car is equipped with a more powerful 41-horsepower motor than the top Wuling Mini EV, its maximum speed will be limited to 100 km/h. The high-capacity battery (26.5 kWh) allows you to drive almost 300 km without recharging.
The exact price of the Wuling HongGuang Mini EV in the convertible version has not been officially announced yet, but it is known that it will be the most expensive in the line. According to preliminary data, it will be possible to buy a Chinese electric car for $10,000. In Europe, the model was presented under the FreZe brand.
