The Lux Gekko is a small two-seater electric car for the city with a length of only 2.7 meters. Thanks to the use of natural materials, the car’s weight was reduced to 550 kg.

Spanish startup Natural Movement has presented its new Liux Gekko model. The compact city electric vehicle has a non-standard design. Details of the car were disclosed on the manufacturer’s official website.

Natural materials are used in the construction of the car

The new Lux Gekko is a compact city electric vehicle the size of a Smart. It is 2.7 m long and 1.5 m wide. The hatchback has a one-volume design with short body overhangs and thin diode headlights.

The electric car weighs only 550 kg, and its construction is dominated by environmentally friendly materials. The steel frame is fitted with a body made of a special polymer material derived from linen fibers.

Зthe range of the electric vehicle is 150 km.

In addition, vegetable resins, wood, and biocomposites were used to create the car. Some parts of the electric car are printed on a 3D printer.

The lightweight electric car Liux Gekko is equipped with a modest 20-horsepower motor on the rear axle and is capable of reaching 100 km/h. The 13 kWh battery provides a range of 150 km. The front brakes are disc brakes, and the rear brakes are drum brakes.
