An unusual drone that can change shape has appeared

ASELSAN, a company operating in the Turkish market, brought an unusual shape-shifting drone to the TEKNOFEST exhibition in Istanbul. Visually, it looks like a bomb with racks on which screws are mounted. The developers claim that due to this design, both stationary and mobile platforms can be used to launch the drone. In addition, such aircraft can be conveniently stored in any quantity.

The drone has four cameras. Its operational ceiling is 200 meters. It transmits a higher quality image to the operator’s console than commercial quadcopters. The manufacturer positions the drone as a universal drone. It can be used for both civilian and military purposes. ASELSAN engineers initially developed the UAV in such a way that it could be launched from moving vehicles.

The Turkish company has already conducted flight tests. It presented five launchers at the exhibition. The research work will be completed by ASELSAN specialists next month. After that, the company will start assembling unusual drones on a mass scale.
