Android 15 will increase the standby battery life to 3 hours

The second beta version of Android 15 is now available and it brings some interesting improvements, including those related to standby time. This was reported by Android Authority

Doze Mode update

One of the biggest improvements is the Doze Mode feature, which significantly improves the battery life of devices in standby mode. According to Dave Burke, Google’s vice president of Android development, devices running Android 15 will go into standby mode 50% faster than Android 14. This means that Android 15 smartphones can add up to three hours to their standby time. This important improvement will be available for all devices that support Android 15.

Update for Wear OS 5

In addition, Wear OS 5, the new version of the operating system for smartwatches, promises 20% less battery consumption compared to Wear OS 4. This will be made possible by optimizing the execution of background tasks. In particular, the smartwatch will perform most of the background activity while charging, not when it is on the user’s wrist.
