Last night, a fire broke out in Moscow near the Ostankino TV tower, which is located near the Vladikino metro station in the northeast of the city. Explosions were also heard at the scene.

According to the information published online, a large column of smoke was rising near the Ostankino TV tower, and explosions were heard from the fire site. Emergency services were sent to the scene.
Representatives of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations later stated that a garbage fire had allegedly occurred in Moscow on Novovolodykinsky Proezd, and the fire was successfully extinguished.
“I heard explosions, then I saw a flash of fire and smoke. Now fire trucks are coming,” one of the eyewitnesses told a local group.
