Su-24 bomber crashes in Volgograd region – rosmedia

On September 12, a Russian Su-24 bomber crashed during a training flight in the Volgograd region.

This was stated by the Russian propaganda agencies TASS and RIA Novosti with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the Su-24 was flying without ammunition and crashed near the village of Loshki, 100 kilometers from Volgograd. There were allegedly two crew members on board, but it is not known whether they managed to eject. The search and rescue service was sent to the scene on Mi-8 helicopters.

There were no reports of damage on the ground or casualties as a result of the incident.

It should be recalled that this is not the first case of aircraft crash in Russia in recent times.

For example, on August 12, a Su-30 plane crashed in the Kaliningrad region of Russia, killing all the crew members.
