Russian propaganda outlets and Telegram channels are spreading information that a nighttime kamikaze drone attack on the Kresty military airfield in Pskov destroyed two and damaged four Il-76 military transport aircraft.

“As a result of the drone attack, four Il-76 military transport aircraft were damaged. A fire broke out and engulfed two of the aircraft,” the Russian propaganda outlet said, citing the country’s emergency services.
Some Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels later began broadcasting information about the alleged destruction of a Russian Tu-22 strategic bomber, but Yusov confirmed only the destruction of four Il-76 aircraft.
On the evening of Tuesday, August 29, explosions occurred near the airfield in Pskov, Russia. The Russian Federation announced that Il-76 aircraft were damaged.
