ARMA armored vehicle with Ukrainian Falarick missiles shown at ExpoDefensa

Otokar, a company operating in the Turkish market, has brought an ARMA 8 x 8 multipurpose wheeled armored vehicle to ExpoDefensa 2023. It uses a 105-mm Cockerill gun as its main armament. The armored vehicle is additionally armed with Ukrainian-made Falarick anti-tank missiles.

According to Army Recognition, the tactical armored personnel carrier has a modular design and a monoblock armor structure. Due to the flexibility of the platform, various weapons systems can be used in tandem with it.

The armored vehicle received ballistic protection of the fifth level, which meets the requirements of the STANAG 4569 standard. It comes with eight standard smoke grenade launchers from the factory. At the request of the customer, the following equipment can be installed on the armored vehicle:

  • The “friend or foe” system,
  • Active protection system.
  • Air defense system.
  • Laser detection system.
  • Sniper detection system.

The armored vehicle is equipped with a Caterpillar C9 turbodiesel power plant with a capacity of 450 hp. с. It functions in tandem with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The maximum speed of the armored vehicle can reach 105 km/h. The declared range is 500 km.

To counter heavy armored vehicles, the ARMA uses Falarick anti-tank missiles produced in Ukraine. Their flight range is 5,000 meters. Ukrainian anti-tank missiles cover this distance in 17 seconds.
