Artificial intelligence in Google Meet will replace you in work meetings

The main goal of Duet AI is to help you find out what happened during your Google Meet calls if you’re late for a meeting or missed it altogether.

At the Cloud Next conference, Google presented new AI features that will soon appear in the Meet video calling app. One of them is the ability to take notes in real time. If you’re late for a meeting, Duet will provide you with a detailed summary in the middle of the video call, which will be saved to Documents after the call is over and even supplemented with video clips of important points.

Microsoft and Zoom have previously launched similar features.

Another useful feature of Duet is that it allows artificial intelligence to participate in a meeting on your behalf. The program will automatically generate the text of what you could discuss – the notes will be shared with all participants of the video call.

Additionally, AI Duet will offer studio image, lighting, and sound functions; it will be able to add dynamic name tiles thanks to the face recognition system, as well as automatic subtitles with real-time translation for 18 languages.

Google introduced a video conferencing program back in 2017 called Hangouts Meet, and at the beginning of the pandemic, it changed the brand to Google Meet and added a lot of new features.
