As opposed to the naval drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Russia showed a modified Komar system equipped with Ataka missiles
Engineers at RATEP, a company owned by Almaz-Antey, have designed a new version of the Komar missile system. Unlike the conventional version of the ship’s launcher, the Komar 3M47-03E modification can engage naval drones.
In addition to the Igla-S missiles, the modernized installation received the Ataka guided missiles. They can be used to defeat not only air targets such as low-flying UAVs and airplanes, but also surface kamikaze drones.
A representative of RATEP noted that the new version of the Komar is suitable for destroying surface targets moving on the water surface at speeds up to 90 km/h (15 knots). First of all, Komar 3M47-03E systems will be installed on Russian ships that lack heavier anti-ship weapons. At the same time, they can be used as stationary means of protection against drone attacks on important facilities.
