AS90 and Challenger 2 crews arrive in Ukraine
Ukrainian servicemen who were trained in the UK on AS90 and Challenger 2 tanks returned to Ukraine to take part in a counteroffensive operation. This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense.
The ministry emphasizes that the training of artillery and tank crews has been completed. Ukrainian soldiers have already returned home.

Earlier, official London announced the transfer of AS90 artillery systems and Challenger 2 tanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the amount of 30 and 14 units, respectively. The British army’s modernization program provides for the write-off of dozens of tanks. The remaining 140 units of Challenger 2 will be upgraded to Challenger 3.
The AS90 is also due for replacement. The defense ministry is currently choosing a supplier of artillery systems between Sweden, South Korea, France, and Germany.
