Assessing the terrain in real time: a humanoid robot that can climb stairs on its own was shown in China

China-based LimX Dynamics has demonstrated for the first time the testing process of its CL-1 humanoid robot, which can walk, navigating the terrain in real time, and perform complex dynamic tasks such as climbing stairs.

This was reported by Inceptive Mind.

According to LimX Dynamics, CL-1 is one of the few humanoid robots in the world that performs stair climbing based on real-time terrain perception, mainly through the use of LimX Dynamics motion control technology and artificial intelligence algorithms, as well as patented high-performance drives and hardware system.

The robot can also descend a slope and move indoors and outdoors.

LimX Dynamics is reportedly the first company in China to apply Perceptive Control to humanoid robots, successfully performing dynamic stair climbing and slope descent.

LimX Dynamics focuses on developing motion control algorithms using AI to create a universal mobile manipulation platform.
