“Attacking with swarms of drones”: Russian military complains about new tactics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (video)
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the occupants are forced to watch for UAVs around the clock and hide in shelters for six hours.
The Russian military has begun to complain about the new methodology of Ukrainian drone operators, who are actively attacking the Russian armed forces with swarms of drones. A monologue by one of the occupiers, who complained about Ukrainian UAVs, was aired by RIA Novosti.
The commander of a Russian Armed Forces unit fighting against Ukrainian soldiers in the Zaporizhzhia sector complained that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were constantly attacking his positions with unmanned aerial vehicles. When a journalist asked him to name the number of attacks that Russian troops faced over the past week, the commander replied that he had lost count.
According to the occupier, his subordinates are on duty around the clock to protect themselves from drones. At night, they monitor the situation with a night light, and during the day they use binoculars. They are armed with the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system.
“We need to sit and patrol all this. Because they (the Ukrainian Armed Forces – ed.) have this methodology – they start working in swarms (drones – ed.). And you sit there for hours. You can sit for four, six hours,” said the commander of the Russian Armed Forces unit.
First, a reconnaissance drone takes off in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Based on his information, UAV operators begin to launch several drones at once, attacking the Russians and preventing them from using MANPADS in time.
On July 17, it was reported that Ukrainian drones destroyed millions of dollars worth of equipment of the Russian Armed Forces. According to Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, cheap drones help the Ukrainian Armed Forces defeat the occupiers and save soldiers’ lives.
And in late June, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that Russian current losses were 8 times higher than those of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to Anna Malyar, Russian troops tried to advance in 5 directions, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces are advancing in the south and east of Ukraine.
