Bill GatesBill Gates believes that artificial intelligence will radically change people’s lives in the next five years and named one industry where he expects a technological breakthrough thanks to AI.

Gates is known for his enthusiasm for AI-based technologies. In particular, he is confident that artificial intelligence will eventually solve the problem of hunger on Earth. His new predictions are that AI will make people’s lives much easier, CNN reports.

The billionaire believes that doctors will be among the first to appreciate the benefits of AI. According to him, the technology will save them from time-consuming paperwork. He is confident that in a few years, artificial intelligence will be available in almost every smartphone, as it does not require special hardware.

He also noted “dramatic” improvements in ChatGPT-4. The chatbot can already be integrated into the work of support services, programmers, tutors, and consultants. And yes, Gates believes that artificial intelligence will soon be able to give quite effective medical advice, and this should be a fantastic breakthrough.

“If you think back to agricultural automation in the early 1900s, many people thought: “Hey, what are people going to do?”. In fact, a lot of new things appeared, a lot of new jobs, and we are much better off than when everyone worked on the land. It will be very similar,” Gates was quoted as saying.

The entrepreneur also emphasized that his Foundation will help to reduce the time gap between the benefits of using such technologies in rich and poor countries.

“In the end, the shortage of doctors and teachers is much more acute in Africa than in the West,” he explained.
