Binance announced cooperation with WOG — you can pay for fuel and services at network gas stations with cryptocurrency through Binance Pay
Binance has thoroughly taken up the Ukrainian market and is receiving more and more support from both the state and business. Thus, another partner of the world’s largest crypto exchange has become the large Ukrainian chain of gas stations WOG: thanks to this, another alternative method of paying for fuel and services has become available to customers – cryptocurrency through the Binance Pay service. It can be used for contactless payment directly in the proprietary PRIDE application.
The ability to pay for fuel and services in cryptocurrency through Binance Pay is available to WOG customers as an additional option at all gas stations in the network.
To pay with cryptocurrency at WOG gas stations, you must:
- choose an available type of fuel or desired products from the store’s assortment
the PRIDE application; - among the proposed payment methods in the column, choose Binance Pay and
confirm the payment in the Binance mobile app.
The general manager of Binance in Ukraine, Kyrylo Khomyakov, noted that this is the first integration of Binance Pay with an oil products market operator in Ukraine. He also confirmed the intention of the crypto exchange to actively implement the technology in other segments of retail trade.
At the beginning of September, Binance concluded a similar agreement on cooperation with the Varus supermarket chain — its customers were provided the opportunity to pay with cryptocurrency through the same Binance Pay for products on the supermarket’s website. In addition, last week Binance together with the Digital Ministry added verification through “Diia” – so far this method is only available to new users.
