Binance bans Russians from buying and selling dollars and euros

At the same time, EU citizens were banned from buying and selling rubles

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume of transactions, has banned Russians from selling and buying dollars and euros through its p2p service.

This was reported by the Russian edition of Forbes.

At the same time, EU citizens were banned from buying and selling rubles.

A representative of the exchange explained this decision by fulfilling the requirements of the tenth package of EU sanctions against Russia.

It is noted that the service can still be used in Russia, but with other currencies.

P2P services of Binance and other crypto exchanges were actively used by Russians in 2022 as a tool for transferring money abroad after the usual SWIFT transfers became more difficult to use due to sanctions. These services allow you to transfer money from one crypto wallet to another or buy cryptocurrency.
