Bitcoin is worth almost $38,000 and confidently continues its growth rally

Cryptocurrency prices recovered from a significant drop earlier in the week, and on Friday, bitcoin hit a new high for 2023.

During the day, Bitcoin rose by 1.42% to $37,862 for the first time since May 2022. It grew by 3.9% over the week.

Meanwhile, Ethereum has risen above the psychological level of $2000 and is now worth $2104. This week, the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization reached a market share of over 8%.

Solana gained the largest increase in the year – more than 476% compared to 130% for Bitcoin.

Investors are digesting the end of Changpeng “CZ” Zhao’s reign at Binance, the world’s largest exchange, after he agreed to plead guilty earlier this week to federal criminal charges brought by the U.S. Department of Justice. The news comes less than a month after FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried was found guilty in a federal fraud and conspiracy trial.

Traders also took note of the minutes of the last Federal Reserve meeting, which showed that officials expressed no desire to cut interest rates in the near future.
