British Stormer HVM helps Ukrainian Armed Forces defend Ukrainian skies (video)

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have several air defense systems in service. Soldiers of the 1,129th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of Bila Tserkva demonstrated the combat use of the Stormer HVM on Facebook. Ukraine received these systems from the UK.

In the video, the soldiers showed the work of the British SAM crew. According to the commander, the Western equipment has proven itself. On a 10-point scale, he awarded the anti-aircraft system 9 points.

Stormer HVM is a short-range air defense system. The Martlet LMM or Starstreak launchers are mounted on a Stormer tracked platform. The anti-aircraft missiles they launch can shoot down low-flying aircraft, drones, and helicopters. Airborne targets are captured using the standard radar and panoramic sight.

Stormer HVM deliveries were announced by the British government last spring. Official London handed them over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to counter Russian aviation.
