Chinese cars will be produced in Ukraine
JAC, a Chinese manufacturer of commercial vehicles, plans to open its own assembly line in Ukraine. This information was confirmed by Stroydormash, which is the official distributor of JAC trucks in Ukraine. They plan to manufacture trucks and chassis for various lifts at their production facilities.
This intention became known after the annual 2024 JAC Global Partners Conference – One World One JAC, which recently brought together participants from around the world in Hefei, China. The Ukrainian manufacturer of special equipment BSM showed the fastest growth in sales and promotion of the JAC brand among one hundred global offices.
During the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to China, negotiations were held with the CEO of JAC on a strategic partnership between Ukrainian and Chinese manufacturers for 2024-2026. In particular, an agreement was reached on the licensed assembly of trucks in Ukraine.
Ukrainian managers convinced the Chinese side of their ability to assemble cars locally from supplied kits rather than importing finished cars from China. The results of imports are truly impressive: from 2023 to early 2024. 500 JAC trucks were imported into Ukraine.
Now, thanks to the launch of local production of cars of this brand, Buddormash will be able to create additional jobs with decent wages for employees and increase tax revenues to budgets at all levels. It is planned that in 2024, BSM will introduce new JAC models to the Ukrainian market, specially adapted to Ukrainian operating conditions.
Over the next two years, JAC will produce 8 new models, which the Ukrainian plant of special equipment will be able to assemble immediately from kits and localize in stages upon request.
