Croatia hands over 14 Mi-8 helicopters to Ukraine

In March, Croatia announced that it would transfer its Mi-8 helicopters to Ukraine. They are already in Ukraine.

A photo of one of the planes was published by the Telegram channel @UkrAirForce. In total, Ukraine received 14 helicopters: some in the Mi-8MTV-1 modification and some in the Mi-8T. The helicopters were handed over to the Armed Forces in May. 9 aircraft flew to Ukraine on their own, and 5 were brought in by land.

The Mi-8 is a Soviet multi-purpose helicopter developed in the early 1960s. The Mi-8 is the most massive twin-engine helicopter and one of the most massive helicopters in the history of aviation. It is widely used to perform many civilian and military tasks. The Mi-8 has many modifications. It can be found in more than 50 countries around the world.
