The ground forces showed the impressive work of Ukrainian combat helicopters (video)

The ground forces showed the impressive performance of the Mi-8 combat helicopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the released video, you can see different stages of combat tasks from six angles. To do this, the pilots placed cameras outside the helicopter and inside the cockpit.

To move on the front, the pilots fly at a very low altitude so that they are not detected by the enemy’s anti-aircraft defenses.

In the direction of the enemy, the helicopter releases unguided aviation missiles, known as NURs. They cover a certain area and are similar in concept to the land-based missiles of the Grad system.

To release the missiles, the rotors rise for a few seconds to increase the range of the NURS.

After studying the enemy target, the pilots perform a special maneuver – descend, turn around and simultaneously release heat traps. They help to protect equipment from enemy portable anti-aircraft missile systems. If an enemy soldier fires a missile at the helicopter, the heat trap will send it behind him away from the helicopter.

The video of the helicopters was released by the Ground Forces, as this branch of the military also has its own aviation equipment. It is used to evacuate, supply and impress targets with the help of NURS.
