Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V and many other keys have worked on Google Drive
Google Drive has been updated to add support for well-known keyboard shortcuts. Keyboard shortcuts are fairly standard and are compatible with modern file browsers, but they only work in Chrome.
Instead of always using the context menu to perform file actions, drive google will now have Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V shortcuts that allow you to copy, cut, and paste data, respectively. The sequence Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+Shift+V in the folder will create a shortcut (indicated by a curved arrow icon).
Ctrl+Enter quickly opens the selected file or folder on a new tab, so you can “easily browse multiple files at once or use different tabs to more easily organize files between two different folders.” Ctrl+Z cancels the action, Ctrl+Shift+Z repeats the canceled action.
This saves you time by allowing you to copy one or more files and move them to new locations on the Drive and multiple tabs with fewer clicks.
This new set of Drive keys only works in Google Chrome and is available from yesterday, and the full version will appear in the coming weeks.
