Ukrainian defense forces eliminated a Russian “Wasp” missile system on the outskirts of Donetsk. This was reported on the DeepState Telegram channel.
The aerial reconnaissance men recorded the location of the enemy’s equipment using a UAV. Subsequently, the air defense system in the field was hit hard.
The message emphasized that it is important to continue supporting the defenders. Ukrainians were urged not to forget about donations.
“We wish the soldier who participated in the destruction a happy birthday,” the post reads.
Destruction of the “Wasp” system by Russian troops
The Excalibur strike destroyed a Russian “Osa-AKM” surface-to-air missile system. The devices were discovered in March on the territory of Kherson region. As a result of the strike, only a pile of metal remained of the complex.
In February, Vinnytsia infantrymen destroyed a poorly camouflaged enemy “Wasp” SAM. The Russian invaders hid the anti-aircraft system under the roof of the building along with other equipment. However, this did not help the invaders. “The Ukrainian defenders spotted the Wasp from the air and, thanks to the correct coordinates and the precision of the brigade’s artillery, successfully destroyed it.
As a reminder, on May 21, Ukrainian artillerymen managed to eliminate a Russian Hyacinth-B cannon. The Ukrainian artillery hit with a high-precision shell. The enemy equipment stopped functioning, and thick black smoke rose into the sky.
