Diia app will participate in the development of the European Digital Wallet
Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, said that soon Ukrainian Diia will join the development of a new European service that will allow opening bank accounts online and having documents in your phone.
He wrote about this on social media.
“The POTENTIAL consortium (Pilots for European Digital Identity Wallet) is currently working on developing a European service that will help open bank accounts online, have documents in a smartphone, etc.,” Fedorov said.
The team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation presented the capabilities of Diia app at a meeting of the international consortium held in Paris. The Ukrainian developers showed their European colleagues how to open a bank account in a minute, create an electronic signature, and use digital documents with Diia app.
According to Fedorov, the forum participants have repeatedly noted Ukraine as a country that is making tangible progress in digitalization on its way to the EU, despite the challenges of war. In addition, our country received a special award from the French Minister of Digital Technology Jean-Noël Barrot.
“Thank you for your appreciation of the Ukrainian product. It’s great that it is technological developments that bring Ukraine closer to the EU,” the Minister of Digital Transformation added.
