What is known

This was reported by Reuters, citing French diplomatic sources. Ukraine has received some of the missiles so far. In total, France plans to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with 50 SCALPs.

For those who don’t know

SCALP (aka Storm Shadow) is a French-British air-to-ground cruise missile. It is being developed by MBDA. The missile is designed to destroy important targets that are well protected by air defense systems. SCALP can be used at any time of the day and in difficult weather conditions. The missile can hit targets at a distance of up to 250 km. By the way, the Ukrainian Armed Forces previously received such missiles from the UK. The SCALP is carried by Tornado, Mirage 2000, Rafale and Typhoon aircraft, but the Ukrainian Air Force was able to adapt it for the Su-24 bomber using pylons from British Tornado fighters.
