The American film company Disney is finally closing its business in Russia.
According to ‘Bulletin of the Film Distributor’, the company is closing the Russian office of its film distribution department.
It is noted that most of the employees have already been dismissed, and some of the remaining team will temporarily move to Disney’s main Russian office to finish their work before the company’s activities in the Russian Federation are completely stopped.
In March of this year, Disney announced the temporary suspension of its activities on the territory of Russia, including the rental of films in cinemas.
Last month, Disney’s Russian-language website stopped working, and the studio’s regional social media accounts were deleted.
At the same time, it was reported that on November 2, the Russian ‘Minpromtorg’ added toys, sports and other Disney products to the list of goods allowed for parallel import (in fact, contraband) to Russia.
