On the morning of March 21, three accidents occurred on the Sknylivskyi Bridge in Lviv, involving more than 20 cars.

Lviv police report that three accidents occurred on the Sknylivskyi bridge on Horodotska Street.

About 25 vehicles collided. The overpass is operated in reverse mode with only one lane out of six.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reports that about 27 cars collided.

You can get around the accident via Kiltseva Street and Aviatsionna Street.

Public transportation resumed its usual route. Buses are running over the Sknylivskyi Bridge with delays.

Obviously, the cause [of the accident] was the pitch black fog. It is important that the accident did not result in any casualties,” the mayor wrote.

What to do in case of fog on the roads

Earlier, the Lviv regional police warned of fog and urged drivers to be very careful. Pedestrians are advised to mark themselves on the road and cross the road only when they are sure it is safe.

  • During fog, be sure to drive with your dipped headlights or fog lights on.
  • Avoid risky maneuvers, and if necessary, reduce the speed of the vehicle.
  • Keep your distance, do not get close to the car in front of you.
  • When stopping, always turn on the hazard warning light.
