Drones are being prepared in Russia for the ‘new campaign on Kyiv’

The Russians decided to conduct a flight called “Dronnytsia” in order to recruit operators for the war with Ukraine.

Russia complained of a critical shortage of trained operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and commercial drones, and announced a flight called “Dronnytsia”. For this initiative, the Russian journalist and political scientist Oleksiy Chadaev created a special channel in Telegram.

Chadayev admitted that there is a severe shortage of drones in the Russian army, and an even greater shortage of people who know how to control them. According to him, the Ukrainian military has learned to calculate Russian operators and destroy them in a targeted manner. Therefore, the initiative group decided to create an instructor corps that will teach people how to use drones in combat.

“It would be much easier if the majority of the active army already had at least some basic familiarity with the subject and basic piloting skills acquired in the civilian sphere,” Chadaev said.

According to the post, “Dronnytsia” will be held from September 1 to 5, 2022 near the city of Velikiy Novgorod in the Russian Federation, with the participation of more than 100 operators of “combat quadcopters” from Russia and the so-called “L/DPR”. The organizers promise exchange of experience, basic training in UAV control, competitions as close as possible to combat conditions and other events. In addition, they want to screen potential instructors.

“On the agenda is a new campaign to Kyiv! We are gathering those who will lead the Russian warbirds in this campaign!” – Written by Oleksiy Chadayev.

The author also suggested reviewing the practice of collecting drones for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. With the help of the takeoff, he hopes to popularize the topic of UAVs in Russia and lure more people who are interested in the war with Ukraine. Including launching a production center for the production of special courses and propaganda videos, as well as collecting materials for training.
