Duolingo will teach you to play musical instruments

Keyboards and drums are known

Work on the musical version of Duolingo is in full swing, judging by the new “findings” of the developers.

iOS developer and reverse engineer Steve Moser found images of musical instruments, code, and Duolingo Music branding hidden inside Duolingo mobile apps, indicating that they were working on a music learning program.

Judging by the images, the new app will teach piano and drums, as well as some music theory.

In March 2023, Duolingo’s job listing found a position for “an expert in music education who combines both theoretical knowledge of relevant research in education and practical teaching experience.”

Neither then nor now Duolingo confirmed its plans, the company only noted that it was “constantly experimenting with new features” and advised not to miss the Duocon event on October 11.

In addition to the main language learning program, Duolingo supports some side projects. The Duolingo English Test, created in 2014, is an online certification exam that tests language proficiency. During the pandemic, the company also launched Duolingo ABC, a free app for children aged 3 to 6 years old to learn English. In October 2022, the company announced Duolingo Math, a free math learning program.
