Elon Musk’s satellite Internet is rapidly gaining subscriber base
In a report by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), SpaceX reported that Starlink’s satellite Internet service has more than 400,000 subscribers worldwide (both individuals and businesses). Interestingly, only two months ago there were 250,000, and at the beginning of the year – 145,000. As you can see, Starlink is rapidly gaining subscriber base.
In its presentation to the FCC on May 19, SpaceX said that Starlink is available in 48 US states, as well as in 36 countries and Ukraine. At the same time, the company is exploring the possibility of expanding its business areas in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. And only a very small number of countries in which SpaceX is not going to launch the service. Among them are Russia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, China, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Venezuela.
So far, SpaceX has launched 2,405 satellites into orbit, 2,374 of which are in working order. Earlier, Elon Musk said that by the end of the current Earth will be covered by Starlink.
