Mykhailo Fedorov, head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, announced the launch of a joint project with the EU4Business program to finance entrepreneurs whose businesses have been affected by the Russian invasion.
You can apply for a grant on the Diia portal, and the compensation can reach €4 thousand. These funds will help businessmen repair property damaged in the fighting, purchase equipment, pay salaries, pay rent, etc.
In general, the EU4Business program aims to help restore production capacity and preserve the economic potential of our country. In particular, to ensure that the military and civilians continue to receive critical goods and services.
To receive funding, a company must meet these three criteria:
- be registered as an individual entrepreneur or a legal entity that is considered a microbusiness;
- have no more than nine employees;
- annual income should not exceed €2 million.
It takes about 20 minutes to submit an application. Entrepreneurs will need to describe in detail what they are doing during a full-scale invasion and what they plan to do with the grant funds. Before applying, you should review the list of KVEDs that are eligible for funding. The application will be reviewed by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, information about the final decision will be sent by e-mail and displayed in the user’s personal account in the Diia application.
The deadline for applying for grants is limited. The program envisages that companies will submit them in three waves depending on the region in which they are registered.
From August 8 to 21, applications from businesses in Dnipropetrovska, Donetsk, Zaporizka, Kyiv (except Kyiv), Luhanska, Mykolaivska, Sumska, Kharkivska, Khersonska, and Chernihivska oblasts are expected.
The submission period from September 22 to September 4 inclusive was reserved for companies registered in the territorial communities of Kyiv (except Kyiv), Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Donetsk, and Sumy regions that were previously temporarily occupied. As well as for businesses from all other communities that will be de-occupied at the time of application.
Finally, from September 5 to 18, companies from all regions of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied communities and territories, will be able to submit them.
As a reminder, you can also apply for compensation for housing damage in Diia. By the way, the app has recently started accepting applications for the restoration of homes destroyed as a result of the Russian invasion.
