Estonia has declared its readiness to extradite conscientious objectors to Ukraine

Estonian Interior Minister Lauri Laanemets said that his country could transfer Ukrainians who are liable for military service and are on Estonian territory to Ukraine.

About it reports Estonian media ERR.

“If Ukraine needs it, Estonia can manage to find this person [conscript] and hand him over to Ukraine. In general, we know where these people are, what they are doing,” the minister said.

No such request has yet been received from Ukraine, but the Estonian Ministry of the Interior has appealed to both the Ukrainian ambassador and the Minister of the Interior of Ukraine that it is ready to transfer data on Ukrainian refugees.

Laanemets added that he would soon submit a written proposal for an agreement between the two countries. Currently, foreigners can only be extradited from Estonia if they are being prosecuted.

Almost seven thousand Ukrainian men of mobilization age have applied for temporary protection in Estonia. However, many of them are exempt from mobilization.
