Explosions and a column of fire: night drone attack in Crimea near Yevpatoriya (photos, video)

On the night of September 14, explosions were heard near Yevpatoriya in Crimea. Local publics wrote about the drone attack and a severe fire near the settlements of Zaozerne and Uyutne.

Residents reported that there were UAVs near Yevpatoria. They admit that the drones probably hit a Russian air defense base.

“Drones have arrived near Yevpatoriya, air defense is working, explosions are heard. Drones continue to fly,” the statement said.

According to Suspilne TV, the explosion in Crimea occurred near the village of Uyutne. Ambulances and rescue vehicles are driving around the streets. It is alleged that military unit No. 85683 is located in the area where the explosions were heard.

The Russian Defense Ministry later claimed that Russian air defense allegedly shot down 11 drones over Crimea.

Details from the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Commenting on the explosions in Yevpatoria during a telethon, the spokesperson for the South military command, Natalia Humeniuk, said that the Defense Forces were targeting enemy targets.

“The concentration of military facilities, the presence of an airfield nearby – all this suggests that the work is being carried out as planned. The targets are legitimate, military targets, and the cotton is blooming,” Humeniuk said.
