“It’s a holiday. The Bastion coastal anti-ship missile system has been hit in Crimea,” he wrote.

It is known that this complex is one of the carriers of Oniks missiles used by the Russians to strike at the territory of Ukraine. In addition, radar stations were damaged. A total of seven explosions were recorded.

Information about Bastion

“The Bastion-P is a coastal defense missile system developed jointly by a Russian company and the Belarusian company Technosoyuzproekt.

On March 15, 2015, it became known that this system had been moved to the Russian-occupied Crimea.

In mid-March 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defense published information about the use of Bastion-P to hit ground targets in the southern territories of Ukraine. Video footage confirmed the launch of three missiles from this complex. The video shows that the system was located on the Tarkhankut peninsula in the annexed Crimea.

The long range and high speed of the Oniks anti-ship missile fired by the Bastion-P allows for unexpected attacks on naval targets. This system can be located at a considerable distance from the coast.

“Bastion-P has a high level of maneuverability and the possibility of covert use due to its mobility. The flexible programmed flight path of the missile allows it to bypass air defense zones. Therefore, the Bastion-P missile system can launch attacks from unexpected directions.

Earlier, we reported that “cotton ” came to the temporarily occupied Crimea on the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine on August 23. The explosion took place near the village of Olenivka.
