Failure of Opera and 1% for Yandex Browser: the most popular browsers in Ukraine are named
StarCounter, a website that analyzes web traffic, has released the most popular browsers in the world and Ukraine for May.
According to the website, Chrome was the most popular browser in May. It is used by 62.85% of users.
Safari is in second place with 20.72%. Edge has 5.31%, Opera – 2.82%, Firefox – 2.77%.
The situation in Ukraine
Google Chrome also became the most popular among Ukrainian users. It is used by 65.11%. Next:
- Safari – 19.43%.
- Opera – 8.88%.
- Samsung Internet – 2.61%.
- Firefox – 1.63%.
- Yandex Browser – 1.05%.
It will be indicative to compare with the statistics of last year: back in May 2022, Chrome was the most popular browser with 61.6%. Then we settled down:
- Opera – 20.26%.
- Safari – 6.74%.
- Firefox – 4.76%.
- Yandex Browser – 3.19%.
- Edge – 1.32%
Trends
It is worth noting the increase in the share of Chrome users. In May 2022, the share of users was 61.6%, now it is 65.11%.
Opera’s share dropped significantly (from 20.26% to 8.88%). At the same time, in March 2023, the share of users was 18.59%.
