Ford has faced unusual shortages and is halting car production

The warehouses have run out of plates with Ford logos for various models of the American brand. The supplier company suspended their production, and it was not possible to establish production on its own.

It turned out that the American warehouses of the concern lack plates with the Ford logo for 45 thousand cars of various models. In particular, the Ford F-150 pickups were left without the famous blue ovals – this is the brand’s most popular model and the most popular car in the USA.

The fact is that the plates with Ford logos are produced by the contractor company Tribar Technologies from Detroit. However, in August, production was stopped due to an environmental scandal — it turned out that it was pouring toxic waste into the city’s sewers.

Alternative suppliers have not yet been found. Initially, with the help of a 3D printer, they tried to establish the production of temporary plates, but their quality turned out to be unsatisfactory. Of course, the absence of logos does not affect the characteristics of the car, but Ford does not want to hand over cars to buyers without identification marks.
