France announces the creation of a “missile” coalition for Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron announces that the allies will create a coalition to provide long-range weapons to Ukraine.

According to Macron, Ukraine’s allies will supply Kyiv with medium- and long-range missiles. All this is to enable the Armed Forces of Ukraine to deliver deep strikes into the enemy’s rear. He also added that an intensive dialog with partners will be held in the near future.

The coalition will include not only European countries, the United States and Canada, but also countries from other parts of the world.

It is not yet known what kind of weapon it is. However, it is most likely to be the Anglo-French SCALP EG/Storm Shadow cruise missiles that Ukraine is already receiving. The Ukrainian Air Force has long used these missiles to hit important Russian military targets.

The SCALP EG/Storm Shadow is an air-to-ground missile designed to destroy stationary targets that are well protected by air defense systems.
